Description
I saw these two and took a couples of shots. i needed to as someone walked into the line of fire. happens a lot put that how it goes.
Now on thankgiven and how it started here in the USA as other counties have it too but on differ days. And this is the link on what at lest one Indian believes and i sure there is many as this person did a lot of looking up history and talking to many Indians and they take on it all.
i like to look at both sides of the story. This is the only one that goes into detail on the Indian side.
I not going to get into the King Philip war here as that happen many years later. The link do get into the war and all.
of course you can google thankgiven and see a lot of facts too.

this person lived in the 20th century. I read accounts of the Indians and what they say like Custer last stand and it differ that what is written in the history books and it was say by the people that was there in the 1800's.
I think the link do not do Justice on Squanto. I read his story from differ books so remember history is written by people who think they know what going on. it like if a car wreck and 10 people sees it and all ten will say differ stuff. i was one of them and my mind went blank as I was telling the police what happen on some stuff and then I remember later on lol.
I tell Squanto story tomorrow.

History tends to be written by the victors, so you don't usually get both sides of the story. Excellent image Jock :)
A very good moment captured.
Another great shot in this series.
Really clear and colorful shot, Jocko, Excellent!
Very important and interesting capture!!
looks like they are "chewing the fat", a very old clique. very candid shot
Excellent work and perfect realisation
Nice angle with interesting topic.
great costumes, nice work Jock.
Lots of color in this shot, Jock. The elders are debating on whether to go on the warpath against the white eyes. I can hear the tom-toms beating now. Custer didn't stand a chance against the Sioux braves at Little Big Horn. And people, especially kids, walk or run in front of my camera all the time when I go to similar events.
Thank you for sharing this photo. Nice candid shot!

This is a very special photo of this tribal elder. They were the teachers that passed down the history of the tribe to the younger members.
