Description
On the way home from church this morning, we spotted this turtle, trying to cross a divided highway, three lanes on each side. A quick U turn, with the help of some friendly drivers, that slowed down to block traffic and s/he was in our trunk. Straight home and after a quick photo shoot s/he dove into the lake behind our home. I don’t have a very good reptile guide, so the best that I can tell, this is a Cooter. They can grow up to 15 7/8 inches (40.3 cm) long and this one was about 2/3 that size. South Florida is a great place to live.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.
