Near the mouth of the Eel River. 3 guys getting their lines wet, probably not really caring if they catch anything or not.

Nice capture of these three Marilyn,it makes me think of that rhyme Rub-a-dub-dub three men in a tub lol.
Their lines make me think of spiderwebs for the way you captured them. I rather like that, though maybe they're just anchoring themselves? One never knows...well, I mean, they're probably just keeping their lines lubricated, as you suggest, but in the world of Chip (a decidedly wacky place) fishermen would cast their lines just to keep their boats from moving, while they proceed to draw up shopping lists with things on those lists like: fish. Ha! No one ever said I was normal. This is a great shot. I love the peacefulness of this and it captures a whole heck of a lot of what fishing is really all about: just relaxing on a nice day with buddies and beer. Nice.

Its easy to see who drew the short straw. At least two of them are relaxing. A terrific image.
By the pink in the front of the boat I'd say it's two guys and a little lady. Great candid catch of a relaxing afternoon. And yet the subtle action has been captured as well. The raising of the oars and even a Cormorant doing a fly by!
An excellent way to spend a sunny and lazy day. Wonderful capture!
