Description
I have been huge Japanese anime fan for about the last 20 plus years and one of my favourate anime series has always been Super Dimensional Fortress Macross or Robotech as it is known in the States.
From the original series many off-shoots have been spawned filled with mecha (mechanical) constructs of all kinds. By far my favourite mecha are the veritech (variable technology) fighters and here for your enjoyment today are a pair of variable technology YF-19 fighters.
I have to confess that I forget which of the off-shoot series these veritech are from.

Great render!
Anime brought to life, I've seen some, I recall Channel 4 did some late night showings. Not for a young audience to be sure.I'm not sure if this falls in the catagory of 'cult' or 'classic' but certainly much overlooked (in Britain at least).Might leand itself to CGI but would it still be 'anime'?....well anyway, glad this is one of your varied interests and that you have chosen to share it with us.Great render, anime does feature some cool hardware, from what I remember, so if you've got more...bring it on...
I almost missed this one. Great looking birds.
Very beautiful space image my friend, you are so good in those images...excellent done.
Looking fine :)
I love them too. Very cool looking and those clouds really show them off beautifully. Wouldn't you love to fly one, I would too!
Very nice
I think as i recall these were from the Macross Plus movie... very nicely rendered :)
Macross Plus movies is correct, it featured the VF-19 and the VF-21. Along with the music by the AI Sharron Apple. Great series and thank you for the image. Great piece.
