Description
ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA 2011:
The second Adlertag took place on January 23rd 1945 and saw the biggest aerial armada in history launched against the enemy command central in the Atlantic Ocean.
More than two-thirds of the nearly 10,000 aircraft to take off on that fateful morning would never return, but although not completely destroyed the command central was damaged beyond repair.

Well composed and beautiful image.
Er,... this how I'd like to have seen WWII. A fight against invading aliens. Cool series and very well made images. Please keep it up. It's fun and exciting with alternate history. :-)
Excellent action in the sky, great scene!!
It is a nice "what if" - and it would be interesting to see how such a scenario played out in the world of the mid-Twentieth Century with the Cold War already looming. But I'm afraid maybe the aliens would just sit up there in orbit and patiently vaporise cities one at a time until we stood absolutely all our forces down- in our own "best interests" of course. But grim "reality" is never as satisfying as a good David and Goliath tale. Keep 'em coming.
