Description
So I looked, told him to stop the car, and did a five-shot pano of it.
If you have the slightest bit of interest in this sort of thing, you'll want to see it in full view. I've left the image nice and big.
This is the roof of a house in Cripple Creek, Colorado. It's one of the only ones left there that haven't been gussied up, fixed up, re-done, or turned into a casino. This is OLD Cripple Creek, from back in the day.
I have two more to go with this, which I'll post over the next couple days.

I would say it needs a new roof. LOL! Very cool photo!!! Love the old wood textures!!
Now THAT is a roof with stories to tell and probably at least one colony of woodlice sheltering under the eaves, somewhere...though if there were woodlice, there'd be a wee bit less roof and more moss! Don't ask how or why I know that. Anyway, this is a brilliant image! I love the details and the textures and how parts of this actually make me think of dragon scales, which--of course--makes me think of Agara, since the "dragon scale" pattern is a common motif when you get out some distance from Pekkur and closer to some small, out-of-the-way town like Ōt, which is a nice, little, medieval sort of a town, with castle ruins "downtown" and lots of old, wooden buildings. Hmmm...I suspect that since this made me think of Agara that I should probably revisit, especially since I've not visited Ōt yet. I wonder what's happening there?
Awesome looking roof Great capture Hugs Susan~
Superbly well seen and captured Tara.
WOW!! WHat a work it must have been making such a roof. Such a neat work. Awesome shot Tara :-)))

Wonderful capture!
need a new roof indeed ,but makes a great textures and structures !!well seen !!
I was disappointed in Cripple Creek...I wanted you to see the place as I had first seen it 15-20 years ago. Your roof pano does catch the flavor of the way it used to be! Great job catching the details...along with the details comes the atmosphere of yesteryear.
Yep, that is certainly a roof that looks like it is about to fall in....but probably will not for 100 years to come! Great Pano! Rob
A wonderful and very interesting pano.
Truly astonishing to see it all full size!
Wow, what a great pano; so much detail! Love the sagging lines and signs of age...you did GOOD!
I love old and rundown buildings, they show a different time, different ways of thinking. This is fabulous craftsmanship, stunning shot.

Interesting view! :)
i like this roof
A very classical old roof !
That's delightful, Tara! Just look at all that delicious detail - wow! Nice to see a little bit of history left un-gussied up for the tourist trade..
You can still see some of what was once a very nice house in the shingle siding and details on the eaves. A shame to let it decay like this. A wonderful pano.
So much interesting detail - well done on stitching the images together! Clive
My Word!
