Description

Today on the dogwalk, more funny looks! One of my anal neighbours blows all his leaves onto the entrance to the pedestrian crossing. Only a matter of time before someone slips on them, and hopefully sues. I collect mine and use them as a mulch on the flowerbeds and to make leafmould. Leaf-blowers are a modern curse, and make me almost murderous. Although I do have to admit that the REALLY BIG powerful ones like the tree surgeon has are very nearly silent..I think it's to do with the expensive make.

Surprising the colours and patterns that fallen leaves make, nice shot.

Lovely capture in spite of the hazard this poses. I agree with you about leaf blowers. It never fails, I wash my car and it's nice and shiny....then driving down the road, and there is a person with a leaf blower every time, and they do not turn it or stop it as I pass by. I get all sorts of gunk on my nice car. Grrrrr!! We need a campaign against those things. They are noisy, and obnoxious. I agree with using the leaves as mulch. We have a neighbor with three, huge redwoods, and they overhang our property and drop the needles. This makes a beautiful mulch, and keeps weeds down.

I'm lost for appropriate adjectives at the sight of this magnificent display of color and textures, Andrea. And, are the tree surgeon's leaf blowers powered by electricity or petrol?

Super capture. Many of my leaves are now nicely covered with a thick blanket of snow, so no worry about raking them up anymore. :) Unfortunately in the spring they will be still there and need to be dealt with before the grass can start growing.

Now I BET your neighbour can turn this LEAFBLOWER into A LEAF SUCKER!!! We have such a machine but we done BLOW THEM AWAY, even though it would only punish ourselves. No we turn it into a leaf sucker and have all the leaves in a sack. I bet your neighbors machine can do that too, so why on earth they use the other way, goes beyond my imagination. Ask them if it can suck the leaves too. If yes, tell them, that if they dont like their leaves, they can deliver them in a sack to you. Because your back is not happy to work extra by collecting half their garden by hand, when they have a machine which can do it in a few seconds. Love the shot here though. Our machine is cheap and effectful. 350kr = 40.25 english pounds and it is electric :) It can both suck and blow. Buy such and blow the leaves back, LOL!

Absolutely beautiful. I bet you if you made pictures and sold them, they wouldn't be giving you funny looks again. Nice shot. Aloha

This is a very nice collection of leaves. I can’t tell if you have an iridescent leaf of a few drops of gasoline from a passing car. If you had a silent Leaf-blower, you could blow all of your anal neighbor’s leaves right back into his yard. Might be worth a rental!!!

It certainly is! Beautiful light and colors. Superb image. I love Sharky's comment. It prompts a delicious scenario where you have a gallery showing in town and all the folks who have given you odd and dirty looks come to ooo and ahh over the artworks. Then the gallery owner introduces you and they all recognize you. As you can probably tell, I love to see the pompous and the stupid discomfited.
