Description
This couple, both members of the US Armed Forces, had recently returned from Iraq and spent some days down here in Belize.
It was his first attempt of using/sailing on one of these boards and while I watched he repeatedly went up on one side and down on the other. Apparently it is more difficult than it looks.
This picture was taken at San Pedro on Ambergris Caye in Belize on 26 November 2010,

Very cool capture I would hope that he and she eventually were successful
Stunning capture my friend. God Bless.
It does take a few tries... Nicely captured!!
Wouldn't take me any tries at all! I'll just sit here on the beach with you and have a cocktail. :) Nice shot!
hi sig..love this capture wish im there...:)
I would like to try it but I am sure I would "wipe out"
This is a most sweet image because they were enjoying the moment with their whole hearts. :))))) They really deserved that special time. :)))) Excellent capture my friend. :))))) Thank you for sharing the beauty you see. :)))) Thank you for the smile. :))))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))))
this is another great photo - cool to see the world with your photos here !
I've been sailboarding for over twenty years, and actually it's much easier than it looks! The secret is to use your body weight to lift the sail and not your arms, and then balance it centrally without letting it fall too far one way or the other. Like a motorbike, it's weightless whilst centrally balanced, but becomes very heavy if you let it fall too far in one direction!
Cool shot, what do the say.. If at first you don't succeed have a cuppa and let someone else do it.. Well that's what I say anyway lol.. Nice one Sig!!
great foto, i had lessons at school, realy is hard to stay on the board as the wind catches the sail.
My hat is off to anyone who can do this! I had major trouble and little success staying on a surfboard without trying to sail at the same time! On the other hand, if I could make the board bigger and the sail smaller, then maybe...
i bet it is.
A super candid capture.
Beautiful capture.
