Description
Got inspired from a 2 second shot on a 60 Minutes story about the death of Vincent VanGogh. This was the room he died in. I guess it's been preserved and only a lonely chair sits there now. Seems as sad as it must have been in 1890.
Modeled the room in Hexagon. Light ray painted in postwork.
I did a scene from a happier time in Vincent's life a few years ago. Recreated his Yellow House bedroom, in Bryce.

I saw that same piece on VanGogh and was inspired by the same scene, looks like you beat me to it :) And did a much better job than I could have, excellent work. I agree it was a very sad and compelling image.
You did quite a pretty good job with the mood & lighting. Great image !
Eerie. A wonderful moody image!

Beautiful image. Nice you gave the info were it come from. Thanks. Frans
Beautiful work of a sad time.
Lovely atmospheric scene and lighting!
A fine tribute for one of the world's greatest artist. The Bryce render you did of his Room at Arles is my favorite of all his works. Keep a reproduction of it in my college dorm room.
a beautiful tribute to a tragic yet gifted man. i love what you did with the light rays.
such a great study of light.
