Description
Flamingos or flamingoes are gregarious wading birds in the genus Phoenicopterus (from Greek φοίνικοπτερος meaning "Phoenix's wing"), the only genus in the family Phoenicopteridae.
The Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus) is the most widespread species of the flamingo family.
