Description

Flamingos or flamingoes are gregarious wading birds in the genus Phoenicopterus (from Greek φοίνικοπτερος meaning "Phoenix's wing"), the only genus in the family Phoenicopteridae. The Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus) is the most widespread species of the flamingo family. Les Phoenicopteriformes sont un ordre de grands oiseaux aquatiques ne comprenant que la famille des Phoenicopteridae (ou phœnicoptéridés). Cette famille est constituée de trois genres et de six espèces vivantes connues sous le nom générique de flamants. Le Flamant rose (Phoenicopterus roseus) est l’espèce de flamant la plus largement répandue. Thank you for your comments on my previous upload:

Oh, wow...I've never seen these outside of a zoo environment, I can't even begin to imagine them out in the wild flying like this. What an amazing shot!!!
