When to harvest soybeans? http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/legumes/msg0718410621358.html
here a link to when to harvest the beans and how to cook it even if it is like this. did not know you can cook it with chili. i cook chili useing no beans; that the way I like it and I noted that how the world chili contests are cooked too. but I know a lot like beans in chili. each to they own.
this field to me looks to dry as some say in the last link. many never saw soybeans fields so I post this one for you. I standing up here so you see they not tall at all. just about a foot tall

Nice looking field.
I don't think I've ever seen a soy bean field before! That's super cool, Jocko! Very nice flat land, with a lovely neutral, earth toned colour! Most soothing for the eyes!
Very cool colors variation... Beautiful shot my friend!
did you know that the US is the largest producer of soy beans?I like a pastry that is made from soy beans.it is called mung bean cake the word in Tagalog for soy many soy products imported were first grown here and then shipped overseas to be made into the products
Great pic here Jock, and thanks for the link. I'm like you and prefer my chili without beans and had no idea you could use soybeans either. Didn't know that is how they did it for the big contests
Thanks for the big picture Jock!
