Description
Captured 8/3/11, at the beautiful Aquarium of the Pacific in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Check it out full size.
A few more shots out of the total of 33 that I took of this gorgeous, but venomous, species. Most accommodating in the fact that they moved just slowly enough for me to get decent pics of them.
Allaismalardik, thankx for coming by, and for any and all favs and laudatory comments.

I love watching them swim around. They look so flowy and elegant. Lovely images of these very prickly and as you have rightly said, poisonous fish!
Some really nice captures here Harry, well done
really great captured this bizarre fish !!like the third one most !!beautiful clear shot !!
Excellent shots. Well done.
Lovely creature.
Fantastic creatures of the sea.
Super clear captures of this beautiful fish even if he is poisonous. He makes a great subject.
I love watching them swim, they're beautiful creatures...but they never sit quite still, I found. You did well with the deceptively mobile lionfish, Harry; excellent shots.
Mmmm! Harry, in that third shot, he has his eye on you mate! And as these are very poisonous, beware! lol Seriously, great set of well taken pictures, excellent mate.. Rob
Spectacular images - of a killer-fish, almost not believable that they can - but they do! caution when in the deep blue waters and respect - live and let live! well presented, Harry BB
I like #3 best because of the face on capture. Nice collage and capture Harry. Dana
He is absolutely BEAUTIFUL Harry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
