do not pick them up as they string or bite hard. cool shot
These are indeed very fuzzy little critters. Never seen a lot of them but always thought they were pretty neat :)
Yes,they have a very funny way of walking, they are nice, pretty, adorables...until you touch them. If you do that, be prepared for real pain. Once, I did it and now I see them with all my respect. It,s amazing that such little furry thing can hurt so much. So, enjoy seeing them, take all the photos you want... but keep your hands away.
Lovely shot, some say the hairs can be poisonous!!
Don't see many here, as they tend to toast on the egg frying pavement! ;)
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
A most dangerous creature, you were lucky to escape with your life! Excellent capture of this future moth.

We are supposed to be able to tell, the severity of the upcoming winter, by some sort of comparison of the black and red bands. I’ll have to check out my Farmer’s Almanac. Nice shot Mike. Dana
Scary. I hate catepillars!
I've seen a few of these - never realized they were capable of inflicting pain... Cool shot, Mike!
Haha ! I LOVE these guys!!! So what is it...brown ends black center means longer winter or the other way round Mike? My Dad would scold me for not remembering ugh.
