Breaking News : SpackoInternationalNews reports that the System/Boot harddisk of the mainframe is probably damaged.
well it was acting kind of weird over the last days,i felt something coming.
last night it started to give a slight hammering sound ,clack,clack,clack,as if the spin would not run.
We are doing our utmost to save the data and get another harddisk to make a clone of the defectuous hdd,(hopefully).
Trying to get this jobs done with Acronis True Image a powerful tool.
The “Doc”will keep you posted,meanwhile I can continue working on my second machine.
Sh..,happens lol.
First I am trying to create an image from each partition.
Then when having the new harddisk (shops only open at 10:00 and not everyone has hdds in stock I need a 1.5tb to be sure.
After this I will hook up this hdd internal and i try to clone it completely.
If cloning wont work I can partition the new hdd manually and restore partition by partition manually,will be more time consuming but then……...
In theory I wont loose any files in theory hehehehe.lets see what goes.
System partition already backed up just finished now-that way I don’t have to reinstall the OS.

I had that happen. I took out the bad hard drive and put it in an external hard drive USB case and because it would no longer boot, and I copied as much as I could from it onto another new drive. Good luck, Rene!
Man, I feel your pain, Bro! I sent my ailing drive out for data recovery, but they were unable to recover any data. I had about 5 years' worth of art on it including all the special mats I made for the TNA series and the Busted series. What a bummer! I still have all the original PZ3 files for Poser, but now I have to recreate all the mats. Oh, well - like you said, S*** happens! :-( Hope you get everything back from your drive, my friend! Oh man, I love these industrial BGs! Most awesome. Lighting is excellent as usual. The characters are very muscular, too bad they are so ugly, giggles. Maybe they should be wearing paper bags .. oh wait .. plastic bags over their heads. Love their weaponry! I know you will win in the HD wars. I just know. Of course a lot of that could be because I started with the newest posts and already read that the new HD was up and running and NO files were lost. So I guess I have to admit I'm not a one of those that can see into the future, grins.
