Description
Taken in an east end London neighborhood that looks a touch seedy but is actually becoming a bit posh as well-to-do Londoners move eastwards. Much to the aggravation of the locals I am told. I loved the way the light played on the arches. It was a cool gray day and rain was threatening - perfect photo weather.
For Lou because I know it is somewhere near her stomping grounds.
Taken with a Nikon Coolpix S9100
I'll keep up with this series until at least I finally get poserpro2012 working right - it may be a well.

COOL!!!
Really an amazing looking photo Roxie, and a marvelous dedi for Lou
Love the shallow DOF and vintage feel. Super capture!
Amazing photo and dedication Roxy, beautiful place, excellent capture!
I imagine a great many stories could be made from this one perfect image. Forget a thousand words! Marvelous capture. It reminds me of River street in Savannah stateside.
Very nicely captured and I like the B&W treatment!
what a great shot and post treatment. I love it when a photographer shows us not only the place they visit but captures the mood and feel of it as well--you did this here...it is great art to say the least--love it.
Amazing! Superb! Exhilarating! Those are just three of the words that popped into my mind when I saw this. I also suspect that it's a part of the inspiration for the city-state of New Crobuzon, as featured in the novel Perdido Street Station by China MiƩville. He's one of my favorite, new-ish writers, and this image feels the way his novels tend to feel. There's a touch of seediness that I hope remains, and the play of light, shadow, and architecture is truly glorious. This is a marvel of photographic work. I like it immensely.
Very nicely seen!!
Oh, that light, just so well captured, Roxy! The sights you got to see! I'm so glad you are sharing with us!
Love the light in this photo. Cool perspective view!
Roxy, this just kicks butt! Wow! I really love the lighting playing on those arches - if not for the absense of distinct shadows, I would have thought it was a sunny day. This is superb, my friend! Wow - hope you get PP2012 working - you will love it. Unlike P8, it worked flawlessly from the start for me.
That looks like docklands the isle of dogs they turned all the old warehouses into flash penthouse flats i used to live in canary wharf its superbly captured and i love the old style touch too thank you so much for this i love it hugs lou x
Nice shot, the emptyness give a special atmosphere. The light is amazing :-) It would be great to see more of your fotographs. Got the eye for it it seems.
