Description

The Short-toed Snake Eagle (Circaetus gallicus) is a medium-sized bird of prey in the family Accipitridae which also includes many other diurnal raptors such as kites, buzzards and harriers. Its prey is mostly reptiles, mainly snakes, but also some lizards. We saw this bird of prey everyday during our week in Lesbos.
