Description
If you've never seen NefariousDrO's rock stacking marvels, you're missing out. I promised him this shot several days ago (okay, maybe it was a couple weeks) and finally got around to taking the shot!
This stack has been in the same place for quite a while. Months for sure, perhaps years. I don't remember the first time I saw it. Anyway ... it's growing moss, so it isn't new!
Hope you're having a great time at the festival this weekend, Mike! :D

Hi Tara May a snowman in the colors with a smile bright warm hugs, Linda Kaye
This is a very balanced picture Tara and I like the stony silence that surrounds it!!
cool
Just wonderous! Those arching grass stems are the perfect finishing touch to this.
Spectacular shot, dreamy atmosphere, I expect to see some little fairies floating around!
How to make a simple rock cairn look good, this is it!
Yep! That has certainly been 'growing' there for a while.. lol Fine shot Tara. An 'Iconic' site now on Rendo lol Rob
I always love to look at these... and on my walks down at the beach, I often see people creating similar ones... it really is an art, and such a symbolic one as well! The lighting and background of your scene are terriffic, I must add! Really captures the beauty and essence of the subject! A great composition and border!
Wonderful composition and feel to this...a message to others of some sort...
A beautiful piece of nature art, and your capture is absolutely perfect; the soft dreamy background really sets off the rocks. Well done you!
Very nice finding and great shot. Well done.
Fantastic image and atmosphere! Excellent shot! :)
A beauty Tara! I love the soft grass strands framing the rocks and lending some softness to a otherwise harse object! Most artistically done!
A quiet, isolated spot. It gives a feeling of great age. Its a wonderful capture. Its fun to imagine what theories might arise in the mind of some future archeologist.
Yep - that's right up his alley, so to speak! A lovely shot, and that sunlight in the background is great! I've tried Mike's rock - stacking trick, but never had his success. Almost dropped one on my foot last time! LOL!
Yes, a very calming place to be. Nice capture,Tara.
This is super! I keep promising myself I'm gonna try something like this and maybe the place to do it is in the Pacific Northwest, because I want moss too!!! What a nicely moody, dreamy, and yeah--mysterous--shot! I think the curvy bits of golden stem-growth just add so much more excitement. This rocks!
this is cool. use to be putting up rocks like this was to worship a god of some type but now it just for fun
Beautiful shot - the composition is as balanced as the rock stack & the lighting is superb...
Looks fantastic, Tara. A wonderful shot of this amazing stack.
I can see why you've been fascinated by this creation, there's such wonderful shapes and textures to these, and the moss adds a superb color mix. Fantastic shot, and thanks!
cool stone sculpture, nice foto

Funny...I passed that stack for months and now is the first time I am really looking at it in detail. Great shot very well presented:*
