Description
I snapped this flamingo while on holiday in July. I love these birds - they are so graceful and the salmon color of their feathers fascinate me!!!
The past 2 weeks I only had mobile Internet which is very pricy here in SA - hence my complete silence. Thankfully I'm back now. I'm working very, very hard at the office and doing long hours, but it could land me a trip to the US and Canada again in January!!!
Thank you for visiting and for your very welcome comments on my last upload on 9/11.
Hugs

I always thought of Flamingos as such elegant birds and you captured this one at an awkward moment or so it seems - human after all! - LOL good luck to you Carin - for another trip to the USA ? a precious moment here, BB
Ungainly yet graceful...my thoughts about flamingos:) This image has your composition and care...super. Ooooo, sounds good for another trip in January.

Fantastic shot , Carin !
super zoom shot, fantastic colors
fabulous image!
Caught in the middle of her toilette. Superb closeup.
Stunning clariy, color and textures in this stellar photo of the magnificent avian tending to its physical needs, Carin
full-size is a must...the detail is lush & the colors, as the feathers move downward, are beautiful. Fine framing too, with the bird wound-in on itself & the image cropped to completely surround it. It's a closeup of something which might seem merely interesting from a distance, but which is opulent and beautiful up close. Your cropping is always very sensitive, carin, and the details here are beautiful.
A very beautiful capture of this fascinating creature; I love their colour too, and the fact that they always seem to be somehow grooming themselves...
So pretty
Beautiful colours and fun title- thanks for sharing! :)
