___________________________________________________________________ 9/11, The decline of the American Empire It took the stupidity of George W. Bush the worst terrorist attack in history is also the most successful. By its inappropriate and excessive reaction, the cowboy who could not ride a horse threw himself headlong into the trap that held out Osama bin Laden. The leader of al-Qaida was the first to humiliate America, to avenge the honor of the Muslim world which wipes his feet for decades U.S. imperialism, the protector of despots and bloodthirsty Arab unconditional support Israel. The wrong decisions taken following the attack have increased its negative and placed the U.S. on the slope leading to the collapse of the great Republic. Bush rushed the country into a series of conflicts, while lowering taxes and increasing social security of the state, another first in history. Ten years after Sept. 11, the United States are on the verge of bankruptcy. Rather than concentrate on Afghanistan where bin Laden was and where he could have changed the course of events in 2002-2004, Bush, prompted by the Israeli lobby, has addressed the Iraq of Saddam Hussein , sworn enemy of Israel and bin Laden. He has committed a major strategic mistakes of history, including the United States does probably never will recover. You had to be particularly moron to think to impose by force of arms an American-style democracy between the Tigris and Euphrates. The result will inevitably be to Iraq, a Shiite majority, an ally of Iran. At the operational level, Americans persist in believing that brute force and the use of massive firepower will give them the victory. In guerrilla wars like they lead in Afghanistan, the use of aviation to implement the massive firepower increases the innocent civilians and creating more enemies than they kill. September 11 haunts America, no longer sure of itself. Reputation and prestige are forever tarnished by the crimes and other abuses committed in his military expeditions. The trio of war criminals Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld has exploited the fear of Americans. On behalf of the fight against terrorism, they have trivialized both torture as an interrogation technique and an instrument of retaliation. The justification of national security was used to restrict the civil liberties of Americans, including allowing electronic surveillance widespread. The American political system is halted. Military power is more respected than the civil power. The Pentagon and the complex scientific and military are protected from budget cuts. Never have so many incompetent, irrelevant and unable to have rushed to fill the leadership positions of the Republic. With Obama, Americans believed to elect the right man who would lead the country out of the ruts where Bush had stalled. They elected a talker mannered, weak and indecisive, open to any compromise with the lobbies and the power of money. Despite promises made in Cairo to the Muslim world, Obama has put at the service of Israel, whose politicians take obvious pleasure to come to Washington to humiliate and show the world that drives U.S. policy in the Middle East. The death of bin Laden does not mean that there is "light at the end of the tunnel," On the contrary, the coming years look even more bleak for the United States severely affected by a lack of leadership. The "Arab Spring" plunged the Muslim world in an era of upheaval. Washington will be led by Israel in a succession of conflicts in the Middle East that will weaken even more politically and economically. Moreover, it is unclear how the U.S. will avoid getting bogged down in Pakistan, where the current civilian government, corrupt and inefficient, was sentenced in the short term. The Americans can not accept that the military nationalists who vomit or parties fundamentalists took control of the nuclear stockpile in the country of 180 million. The President of the Commission of Inquiry on the September 11, Lee Hamilton, told PBS he saw as inevitable that the U.S. suffered more attacks like September 11. He hoped that next time, the response will be more informed.
