Description
One of the most beautiful of butterflies...IMHO. It's hard to get a photo of them with their wings open.

Lovely!!!!!
Good shot of this spectacular morpho displaying in the sunlight. You are right that it is tricky to get such a shot. They do usually close up when approached.
great macro picture erland
Super work on this one.
Just FAB!
Thats a beauty right there! Great shot of it as well, spot on focus!
how were you so lucky to get with the wings open.I see them at the butterfly place here but they hardly keep their wings open more than a second
belle photo!!

Beautiful image Hugs Susan~
Excellent capture, I never succeeded in making a capture with the wings spread!! thanks for sharring
Stunning! A fav....
Oh, how beautiful! Excellent capture of this wonderful butterfly.
Indeed, spread wings on a butterfly is nearly impossible to capture! Butterflies rest with their wings closed, and moths rest with their wings open. It's one of the surest ways to tell if what you've got is moth or buttie. This is impressive! A beautifully clear, gorgeously colored photograph. Outstanding image!
Wow, just wow!
Wonderful colorful capture!!
Love the light on the wings!
I love how you've captured that shimmer on the wings, well done indeed!
Wow, I'm speechless, such beautiful turquoise tone, incredible shine on its wings, such a wonderful moment you've captured, great great work!
