Baby prairie dogs. Cynomys ludoviciana. It looks like one is getting ready to whisper in the other one's ear. These are no longer common in Arizona.

I don't think it will be a secret for long, gossips they are! I guess if they get too close to people (or rather, peoples houses get too close to them) they are considered pests? Or is it needless target practice from those with nothing better to do?
