Great black and white image Hugs Susan~
Space! Everyone needs a little, and these two have plenty! Super! I've been on this Fibonacci spiral kick for some time now, and I love the fact that there are actually two spirals in this shot...one centered on the center of the flower, which itself contains a rather nicely developed spiral, and then a second one centered--for the most part--on the mating insects. For me that establishes a really nice dynamic tension which heightens the drama because the eye is given a different sort of focus that works marvelously. It's like one of those pieces of music, like a passacaglia, where one melody gives rise to another, completely different melody--still tied to the first, of course--that emerges and then vanishes gracefully. This is stunning.
