Description
This is the church of Dinant (Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame). It was rebuilt in Gothic style on its old foundations after falling rocks from the adjacent cliff partially destroyed the former Romanesque style church in 1227. Several stages for a pair of towers on the west end were completed before the project was abandoned in favour of the present central tower with a famous onion dome and facetted multi-staged lantern. You have a great top-view of the church when you climb up to the cathedral. A part of it can be seen at the top of the image, spreading alongside the tower of the church. Beautiful shot and place!
I like the central tower reminds me a bit to Russia and I like the barricade at the top where the glory is attached as is French.
