Description
Photo taken from the bridge over the Zambezi river, a no bodies area between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The falls are surrounded by blue sky, however the mist formed by the falls you can see at miles distance.
Due to the huge amount of rain during the rainy season in the area, the water level was still very high, the highest since 20 years!!
We made in May 2011 a trip through the southern part of Africa ( RSA, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia) , we did not have had one single raindrop during 1 ½ month traveling in the area, however we had our part of the rain in the so called “Dutch Summer”, it is over here in The Netherland such a lousy summer, as we haven’t had often over the last 60 years.
Thanks for viewing, and your lovely words on my yesterdays posting, a special thanks for those who earmarked the image as favorite; comments are always welcome.
Have a very nice day,
Henk
