Description
Sometimes you need sort out between your true friends, those that you would trust with your life, your partner and even your credit car,and the ones that turn out to be nothing more than malicious spiteful childish small minded persons, full of their own opinions and very critical should you dare to voice your own. It saddens me to know that there's a group of people here that resort to bully boy tactics and all sorts of underhand ploys to get to the top of the popularity charts. Their whole world revolves around how many Favs/Votes/Ratings they get. Get a life for heavens sake. To those that have been effected by this I say, don't let them get to you, post your artwork for yourself and not to please others.
On a personal note, I don't always make comments, I simply don't have the time. If this offends you in anyway or you think you'll get a comment back, then please don't bother, I don't wish to be ungrateful, but I'd much prefer you comment on the quality of my artwork and not because you think you'll get something in return. Sorry for the rant, but I've been here 10 years now, and I don't like what is happening one little bit.
Ok, Character is a mix of Lady Frostwhisper moprhs by Countess and Silver and a texture by Sarsa over at Daz, pose is by Danie and Marforno, can't remember which one..Hair is Lulu hair by Swam (slightly postworked) and the background is from a new pack I'm working on.

Well said & happy someone finally did! I agree with you 100% It's about the art one creates NOT about being #1. Rather have a handful who enjoy my things then 100 just for pay backs. Now onto why I am am here commenting giggle... Lovely work as always, She is cute & I do happen to like that hair :D

Well said Bez i hate that chart i hate the front page and i hate that we have to go by how many friends you have is it about art no it is not im getting fed up with it and i have not posted in the last couple of days and have not commented either your skin would crawl if you knew half what goes on round here the idea of commenting is to encourage or offer a hand to help people improove and i would prefer a critique rather than oh wow oh thats amazing or thats brilliant i am scarred to say what i think because i would get mob ruled and disrespected so now you know why when i see something i like its just superb and thats my two peneth you will always know who your true friends are when your in trouble they are there the others run a mile ..... as for your image Bez your work always is a pleasure to view her eyes are fantastic as is the skin tones love the lighting on this !!

As always your work is a pleasure to view. I think more people than you realize feel the same about your vent. Sometimes I feel like I have been thrown back into Junior High School and never feel quite up to other standards. But as I have grown older I have learned to feel sorry for those who have to go to those lenghths to remain in the limelight. I comment when I have time and create what I enjoy not what others want to see. So here..here..to rare but true friends.
Bez, a gorgeous image, and a timely commentary on the Rendo "community...." With the huge number of users here, I guess it's unavoidable that there are bad apples.... like I always say, illegitimi non carborundum! We know who the good guys are.... keep up the fine work and hold onto your standards!
Good rant, Bez. I absolutely agree it is about the art, not the Art Charts, which have become a bit of a joke. Only 20 spaces now and there is so much deserving art on this site that should be seen more. Wish we could vote to get that silly useless chart removed, as it seems to create nothing but controversy. I've been here for 8 years and have seen many changes, some not for the best. Regarding your image, it is great. Your work is always stellar and a pleasure to view. CC
I agree!! I've worked with people that have since turned their backs on me .... for no reason at all ... i dont understand why .... and i dont get why getting comments/ratings etc is so important .... but on another note ... i love your work ... and i never expect a comment back because we all do have a life outside of rendo and these pieces give us pleasure and inspiration ..... if only for a moment .... xx

Very well said Bez! It's been bothering me for some time and at one point I stopped doing art cause it just got to me. But it's as you said, everybody should just do art for their own sake, not somebody elses or popularity. Nowdays I usually try to not comment too much cause I don't want to be seen as one of those "comment traders", but every now and then I'll chip in if I have something to say :)

Very cute portrait with a great atmopshere. I've been in your gallerie from time to time, sometime posting a comment, sometimes not... But I enjoy your artwork. You're right about the comments, the charts, etc, etc. I don't like it me neither and there are many peoples who dislike it too. Some have ever said it but it didn't change anything. I don't care about being in the charts or having plenty of comments : I have some few friends and it suits me fine. I hope your comment will change something... Maybe it's "time for changes"

Great Words of wisdom, I like to look at what others are doing, but don't always comment. When I do it's very short.

no return comments requires by me Bez, i don't piss or moan about getting faved not or asking for comments. i just enjoy creating and no matter what happens with the charts. i have aplways enjoyed your work, kindness and gifts. love the stunning realism in this image. it sad that some have to remark with bad comments and or rates. i think your art should be on the charts always Bez.

This one is so gorgeous, the textures and lighting are simply divine. You as a person are the kindest, most generous-hearted woman and I am privileged to have called you my friend for all these years (Antje is even luckier, hehe). Amen! Bravo! Well spoken! I have little time myself and not always able to comment. I post here because I gotta post someplace, LOL. I have always loved the community here but recently some things as you have so perefctly put it have changed. Art is NOT about comments and art charts and favorites and front pages and all the rest. It's about extending creativity and taking pleasure from letting one's creative soul fly. We have some outstanding flyers here by the way. Places like this should be about sharing and learning from each other and stretching and growing. LIke........you do hair painting like no other, you and Auntjie. I suck at it....so, I keep coming and looking at your works and I keep trying to learn from your works. Then I go to the MP and buy a hair to make myself feel better. LOL!!! But the point to my ramble is, thank you for saying your piece. Art is for enjoyement and fun, if not, one is doing it wrong. I am guilty for a spell of saying the same thing, just commenting for the sake of commenting, saying I like someone when I didn't really, and then one day when I just had had enough, I stopped it all, and stopped posting and commenting. But that seems lacking as well. So now, I do what I love, say someting if I can, and not if I don't want to. I am now only here for the spirit of the art, to learn and grow and do what I can when I can do it. I need to drink decaff. LOL! And, of course your art is rockin as you always do!
