Evinrude I used a polarizing filter due to it being a very bright day, but I'm no physics expert! Um but yeah I 'guess' it's to do with the filter cutting through more glare with the closer section being more 'straight on' to the camera, whereas the background is at more of an angle? I don't know! Great question! Andrew
