Description
This huge Buddha sits in a prominent spot, in the Japanese Tea Garden, San Franciscos Golden Gate Park, California, USA. It would be easy for a photographer to spend hours in this 5 acre garden and then take a break at the authentic Tea House. Scanned photo from early 1980s. Those are coins around the base. Zoom is the same view.
Thanks for stopping by my gallery, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

A lovely capture of this rich Buddha.
Really nice, Dana. The aging of the statue really gave it a nice authentic look, nice textures.
Excellent capture! :) Steve must be thinking of the Chinese Buddha with the big belly. ;)

the day I was there the weather was not so good and I had a sorry camera.beautiful statues
Never seen all the coins on there like that.
What a spiritual image, great shot!
Nice shot .
That is a very nice Buddha! Looks like it might be cast bronze.
Super Buddha, and a lovely pic with the trees as a foil. I watched a really engrossing programme last night about seven great Buddhist sites, but unfortunately my DDD (Denoument Deficiency Disorder) got me before the end. That is I fell asleep. I hope there will be a repeat soon, as it was SO informative about the whole philosophy.
This is a superb capture Dana. There looks to be more copper there than silver!!!
