Description

This is a narrow cobblestone alleyway and it was the only possible POV. The art work has been there for many years and no one has painted graffiti over it. Newburyport is a small coastal city in Essex County, Massachusetts, USA, 35 miles (56 km) northeast of Boston. The population was 21,189 at the last census. An historic seaport with a vibrant tourism industry, Newburyport includes part of Plum Island. The mooring, winter storage and maintenance of recreational boats, motor and sail, still contribute a large part of the city's income. A Coast Guard station oversees boating activity, especially in the swift tidal currents of the Merrimack River. Zoom to get a better view. Thanks for stopping by my gallery, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Beautiful. Street art is in the headlines around here, as kids have just tagged all over a priceless Banksy. This comes after a similar loss last year when a graffiti clean up crew unknowingly washed another Banksy away!

Great POV employed to capture the full extent of this wonderful wall art, Dana. I love stuff like this. Incidentally, in my experience we would call this a mural. What we call graffiti around here is simply obscene, unintelligible garbage inscribed on virtually every surface with chisel, permanent marker, and/or paint.

A very beautiful mural you have captured here. I think there needs to be more of them to stop the awful graffiti from taking place.
