Description
Usually when the Candelabrum in my garden are out in full bloom, it signifies that soon our Winter will be coming to an end. I only wish and can't wait for Spring or Summer to arrive ... (still no heater in my house, oh weh!)
***
I believe these are natives from South Africa; succulents who branch out freely from the base into many slender, elongated, fleshy, spiny and prickly stems, rosette-like ... whew! and with candle-like, red/orange clusters of flowers!
I find them very attractive and I hope you do too ?
Cheers *BB* - aka Brigitte

PS I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everybody, by showing me their compassion with kind words, on my last upload, for our beloved cat 'Monkey'.
It seems that everyone has experienced similar stories, about their best friends - who give us so much pleasure and unconditional love.

A really beautiful capture of these lovely flowers Brigitte.
They are spectacular!! Very prickly, but beautiful. Our 'summer' is a bit of a disappointment so far. The school holidays have just started so we expect alternate rain and heat on a daily or even hourly basis!
Nice work
Very beautiful, Brigitte! Excellent presentation!
Beautiful candelabra and collage, we have a very cold and wet Summer, i think your winter must Be better;)
Fantastic capture!
splendid capture
Yeah, they really do look like candles...or brightly coloured toilet brushes...LOL ! Dig the back light in the lower and the super contrasts of the top one, very kool compo BB ! ~Cheers~
Very lovely plants
A feast for the eyes. The frequency of flowers and signing off their gracefully shaped leaves, that the flowers as it were embracing. It is a striking effect. Looking at this, it is lifting my day, dear Sister. Hugs are going to the other site of the world, where, I hope Spring and happiness will arrive soon ♥ !
wonderful captured !!
Very beautiful, Brigitte! Excellent presentation! Now I know what it's called the plant in my garden!
Beautiful plats and excellent shot! You must have a beautiful garden Brigitte!!!
So wonderful, really!
beautifully presented my friend.
Very beautiful and colorful bloom. awesome shot!!!!
So, that's what that species is called. So pretty and prickly. I found the same flora growing profusely in our local botanical gardens and always wondered what they were. And, Brigitte, our summer here has been rather normal up to this juncture, with varying warm temperatures, and on-again, off-again overcast mornings. Of course, the upcoming August, September and October months are often wrought with super high temperatures and wildfires in the hills.
Be careful what you wish for Brigitte. For the last few weeks much of the U.S. has been suffering drought and temperatures above 100 degrees. These are beautiful images, especially the upper photo. Excellent composition and light.
A wonderful presentation of these lovely captures. The flowers are so beautiful and make a super splash of colour in your garden. It was quite a shock this morning to have the snow here, thank goodness the fire has plenty of wood. I hope your spring comes quickly for you.
I have never seen Aloe with the flowers in full bloom- very cool capture!
Awesome looking flowers. They are beautiful even with the prickly stems. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful flowers! :o)
Very good composition and beautifil
WONDERFUL WORK
A stunning photo,i have tried to grow these but they dont seem to like living in the forest.[i to cant wait till spring is here.]
I'd love to have some of your winter. We've had so many days with highs of 100F or more, and not likely to improve for at least a month. Beautiful images! Wonderful detail, composition, and light. I like the difference between the two. The top image is a very elegant composition, with beautiful and simple lines. I like the texture of the underside of the leaves. The bottom image is glorious and rich, with the leaves and blossoms dancing with the light. Wonderful detail, composition, and light.
What beautiful flowers Never heard of them before They remind me of my poker plants I grew Excellent image Hugs Susan~
