Description
This is the bridge I stood under for my last shot - Reading Bridge.
Until it was built in 1923, the only other means of crossing the river in Reading other than Caversham bridge, just under a mile further upstream, was the footpath over the weir and lock.
The footpath is still open to the public but the bridge provided a much needed vehicular crossing.
