This is the Naval version of the Global Hawk. BAMS stands for Broad Area Maritime Surveillance. Its a high-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aerial reconnaissance system which provides commanders with high resolution, near real-time imagery of large geographic areas. If you like a window seat, this aircraft isn't for you!
Who knew it also likes eating chicken! If you look carefully you may just get that very bad joke!

Nando's Chicken, he may never get off the ground :-) I remember when they used to hand launch these things, now they're getting bigger (and probably more expensive) than the planes they are meant to replace. Regress to progress...cool capture...of course you realise they have a picture of you taking this picture! the men in dark suits will be around in the wee small hours.....

Now there's something you don't see every day. Is the color supposed to be some kind of low tech cloaking device? What a thing this is, and it looks kinda like a bit of plastic that decided to be a whale, only with an intake thing on top. WOW! It must be highly functional because it looks so strange! I love it though!
Great capture. Some years ago we were at Wright-Patterson on the flight line and they had some Boeing 707 versions of some sort of surveillance aircraft parked along the flight line and they had similar noses like this drone. We could have sworn as we walked in front of them that the noses of the aircraft followed us. It was kind of spooky!
