Description
One of my garden-shots from this flower, from a month ago.
Nigella damascena (Love-in-a-mist) is an annual garden flowering plant,
belonging to the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae).
What a pathetic name for this lovely flower.
:"Love in the mist", this is totally not fun anymore.
Well, can you see love at all?
Oh yeah, in the eyes of your lover (in any form whatsoever.)
But this should not linger in the mist.
This flower is sometimes also called: "Devil-in-the-Bush".
A little foggy is okay,
but definitely no 'bush, bush' with a devil, right?
In Dutch we say : "Juffertje in het groen".
Literally translated "Little lady in the green".
Thanks for stopping by, and for your lovely comments on my earlier upload.
Here it's very hot, but we will become thunderstorms, hail, etc.,
and then it's cool again.
Friend-greetings,
Mies.

Fantastic flower and photography!!!
Fantastic light and mood. Superb shot
GREAT SHOT
A most unusual flower - I have never seen before in my life, I am learning something new every day or so it seems ... ;-) and now to the name of it - it's also most unusual, but I don't mind at all! - It reminds me very much of the fairytale: 'Dornroeschen', I can just imagine the Prince hacking his way through the thorns - to get to the flower ! so, the question is ' do they come in pink' ? LOL BB
The top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gorgeous image Mies. Excellent capture of this very interesting looking flower.
A wonderful clear capture of this very unusual flower. I think your name for it suits it better than 'love in a mist'.
