Description
The drinks were cold and the company was welcoming. I sat in the warung looking out at the spectacular landscape and watched the Aussies surf. When they had first arrived the Balinese boys had watched as well. They soon wanted to know what it was all about. The Aussies, being a friendly race, were happy to become their teachers and soon the Balinese were surfing on borrowed boards. They had no concept of swim trunks, however, or the money to buy them. The solution? One day, on Kuta Beach, I beheld the sight of three handsome, muscular Bali Boys. They were gorgeous. I mean that in the manliest way possible. They strutted down the beach proudly wearing their new swim trunks, tie-died speedo underwear.

Very beautiful photos , Mark ! Very interesting story !
always great to read your experience, funny the story of the swimsuit. Uluwatu.... many building around now, not more as simple as these one. As these are time documents i ignore here the crooked horizon ;-)

Beautiful photographs, wonderful place and these lovely people!
Wonderful story and images. Beautiful image of the cliffs and waves. I love the top image. Four young and friendly boys and, making a stark contrast, three other individuals. Furthest away, a westerner, who seems separate. On the same bench, yet in another place. The other two local boys have impassive faces, but eyes that stare out with intensity. Excellent capture!
TO use Randys words from a previous post, DID you get a picture of that, please say you did.. haha
