Description
The Grootloon church (Belgium) is one of many churches that was built in the Middle Ages. Every time I see a church like this I in a way experience a special feeling.. what people have entered this church in de ages before, how did people live that have been burried here, that sort of things...know what I mean?

I know what you mean. I'm American, but in 2006 I traveled to Germany and stood inside the ancient church where my Oma was baptised over a hundred years ago in a centuries-old font. It was both awesome and humbling! Lovely place and lovely photo!
