Description
We found a big colony of big red Ants. They were very active as the sun was shining directly on this spot. We think they are moving from another place in my nephews garden to this place, because a little tree of wild plums had grown too big and shades their old home. They usually like to have a little sun on their homes. We all do :)
Have a fine week.
The weather is mixed today. Stormy and changing layers of clouds.
Thank you so much for viewing, comments and favs to my previous post. It is Highly appreciated :)

Wow! Fantastic capture!
Terrific shot of these little guys.
What a fab pic! I hope you didn't get them up the leg of your jeans!
Ouch... great shot. Did they get you?
Great details and DOF!
Great shot Helle.
Superb macro capture of the little guys Helle, they are really busy
Wow, the little ones are really crisp and sharp in your picture, an excellent shot! Ants are definitely interesting animals and deserve our attention! ~Sassy~
nice one
Excellent capture and DOF! Thier numbers get larger even as we speak. ;)
Marvelous work! Well done!
Very beautiful shot and capture , Helle ! The ants are deadly, never stand still!
bien vu!
wonderful to see it!!! GREAT picture!!!!!!!
WOW! This is amazing! Thank you for this! I love the details and I can say that these are, most definitely, NOT Chicago ants. They're very nicely dressed. I like the red and black. The details are really amazing, especially for so many of them all in one place. Usually, when I try to photograph them like this, they look a little bit like bumpy carpet. I really like the little curved line of them near the right side of the image: they look like they're parked! This is gorgeous! I think they're looking for a new place with skylights, or maybe bigger 'shroom balconies?
lot of them and the dof is cool too. They bite hard too so watch out
Fantastic photography
Fantastic photo! What a business-like ants!
Cool capture Helle!
