Description
After dark, if you were feeling romantic, you could take a walk along the beach. Or you could go back to your cottage and read or sleep. Most people would retreat to a restaurant/bar like Aleang’s where you could meet other travelers and spend a few hours in pleasant conversation trading stories and travel tips. Jane was an Australian nurse. Paul was a French volcanologist. They were young, attractive and traveling together. And they were married…to other people. Oh the joys of open marriage.

Makes me briefly wish I had been brave enough/had enough money/not already had a kid... BUT I have no regrets!
don't recall that place ... maybe it is gone since years ..or i didn't pay attention to it. Yes, made a lot of travller friends there, with many of them i am still in contact. was with my future wife in tight relation, so instead swinging around i enjoyed sometimes after dinner a movie on laserdisc (it was the pre VCD/DVD aera) on a big screen TV or beamer. thank for bringing back memories, didn't photograph at that time a lot, as the videocam was new.... and if was boring to wait till the slides are getting developed.
