I do not have a clue what the butterfly is or the flower it is sipping from...
Taken in the garden of a friend.
Not any time to research!

A stunning capture Clive.
a real beauty
In the UK we call this a 'painted lady'! Lovely shot Clive.
Lovely.. we had a huge influx of these 2 years ago.
WONDERFUL!!!
Very pretty.
nice butterfly and macro
Wonderful capture
Nice shot! The butterfly is called "Painted Lady" or "Cosmopolitan" (Vanessa cardui)
bonne photo!!
I would say a Painted Lady as well.....in the UK? But there? Super shot! Rob
What a lovely shot! Whatever the plant is, it goes nicely with the flying critter that's nibbling on it. Something about the sharp angles of leaves and wings. Beautiful!
Hmmmm,hmmmm. Holy macro,well done Clive!
They sure do look nice!
Excellent shot.
Wow, really stunning capture! Love the detail!
a wonderful Painted Lady! GREAT photo!!!!
I think too that this is a Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) - very nice shot of her, because they are shy sometimes. Look on Wikipedia if you like.
