Description
This was captured on a rest stop in Afton on the way to Salt Lake City. The arch is made up of elk antlers collected from the surrounding hillsides.
There are more of these in the town centre of Jackson Hole.
Two of you have asked what 'Yield when occupied' means and I take it to mean that traffic has to stop if pedestrians are standing in the central reservation!!

cool scenic !! well seen !
How very unusual! A great capture, but ... odd! ... to my West Coast eye.
What an amazing construction and my kind of town, Quiet. thanks for sharing your trip with us Jeff. I'm loving it. Geoff.
WOW! That was alot of antlers. A very beautiful shot indeed.
Very cool photo!!
Most interesting structure, and what a wierd instruction..Yield when occupied..Hmmm.
What's it mean by "yield when occupied"?
Stunning capture my friend. God Bless.

Beautiful shot and Unique place in the US :) Be ready for the race...maybe rain & thunderstorm :)
That's more antlers then I've ever seen at one time. :) Excellent capture! :) Yes that is what it means. :)
Fantastic and stunning capture, Jeff. I'm asking myself, is this a real eagle on the right, going on its nest?
I dont remember that one :)))
Interesting capture and picture , Jeff !
well spotted Jeff
Excellent and interesting shot. Really orginell.
Amazing capture and a great photo to zoom in on. I hope you have a shot of you standing in front of that grizzle bear. You have the proper interpretation of that sign. “Pedestrians Have the Right Away” is a common sign in the US – especially at busy crosswalks. Dana
Very cute scene. Great work
VERY BEAUTIFUL IMAGE INDEED
lot of horns there. cool looking
Great image, full of interesting details. There seem to be a lot of animals hanging out at the gallery. Peculiar, but interesting arch. Are the little square things lights? It's wonderful that the snow covered mountains can be seen behind the buildings. It give it a very 'old western town, with one street only' sort of look. I love finding peculiar signs when you travel. In Ireland we saw "Traffic calming ahead" signs, which were very strange to us.
Very interesting photo, well done
interesting shot
Very unusual! Wonderful bit of urban landscape! Clive
