This is such a beautiful photo of these two. I used to think swans were so peaceful and pretty...until one attacked me. Those buggers can be mean. I was in a canoe and evidently they had a nest somewhere that I didn't see and wham-o, right in my back - full speed ahead. Then she made a second pass and struck me again. I didn't know I could paddle that fast. She didn't knock me out of the canoe though, and my husband was laughing so hard that he wasn't much help.
