Hi friends,
This picture is not the one which I had promised to post today.
But last night I found this caterpillar in the front garden.
It was a bit dark, also because he was sitting between the shrubs,
and a bit difficult to catch him.
I hope you like the result.
I was so happy with it.
The more so since this morning, the caterpillar had disappeared.
I suspect it has found another place to pupation.
(or is in the process somewhere).
Thank you again for your lovely comments on my other upload.
It always makes me very happy!
p.s. The caterpillar ate from the Common Rue / Ruta graveolens (wijnruit).
He eats them because of the sharp flavor of the essential oils that are in that plant.
( also as in parsley, fennel. etc.)
So other animals do not eat the caterpillar.

Exellent werk met rustige kleuren. Pure Schoonheid.
Fantastic close-up!!!
a very nice caterpillar! fantastic picture!!!!!!
He looks really big and fat - Jacomina, maybe he is overweight and needs to go on a diet - or on the TV show: 'the biggest loser' ... Or perhaps I shouldn't have zoomed in on him! LOL Take care, as always BB
TERRIFIC CAPTURE
Great shot! These caterpillars also grow here in Spain, they give beautiful butterflies when they change.
This is a beauty Mies, perhaps you can pupate it into a fractal!
What a beautiful little creature, and you have captured it with exquisite balance. The markings and coloration presage the spectacular winged being it will become. As always, Mies, I am delighted by your appreciation of the wonders of nature.
