Description

Pulling back the curtain carries certain risks. Just ask Dorothy. When I stuck my camera into the backstage area of the the Pan Pacific Auditorium I was looking for realism. What I discovered was that modeling has more to do with cigarettes and soda than glamour.

You are lucky that no flying objects were heading your direction, but you got what you came for - must be a bit disappointing though, expecting more ... that's life ! LOL BTW when I zoomed-in, I discovered the swirling smoke and I thought originally it was her curls - the grainy look disguised that - aha! lovely composition Mark, BB

The mayhem that seems to surround the models backstage represents true modeling in that the models are so very concerned with looking perfect that the clutter surrounding them is of no more importance than lint on the floor. So, to me, the soda and cigarettes are just another means to get them to the final goal, beauty. And they do it so well! Like your photo!
