It's funny, when I was at the pier the last time, shooting who knows how many shots of it, the mussels on the pier posts somehow jumped out at me. And when I posted my pier shot yesterday, several of you mentioned them. So for my mussely friends, here ya go--all you want!!

This reminds me of one of the lichen encrusted trees I saw recently; they were all interested in a few select trees (the trendy neighborhoods) and I suspect the muscles in question here find your pier to be an exquisite place to live and raise their families, so you're in good company in terms of liking that particular pier. And who wouldn't? Just look at the shots you consistently get of it. The whole thing is simply fantastic! This is an amazing shot!
