Description
HDR of an old gas station that's been closed for many years. The worst thing is that all the lights inside are still on night and day! I can remember stopping here as a child when mum and dad needed petrol. It was really modern in it's day!

I guess no one turned them off. It's such a waste. You would think the power would be cut with no one paying the bills!

Might be worth the time to shoot this at night if the lights are on...might get a great moody shot. You would need a tripod or something to put the camera on...but it would be very cool I think.

I love old derelict things...your gas station makes my imagination race. Here, these old relics stand for some time because somebody has to pay the cost of environmental cleanup when they come down.

Really does make me wonder who's paying the light bill? I love old derelict buildings, and auto graveyards as well. There's something so melancholy, atmospheric and steeped in history about them. This is a fantastic shot, but would be even better with the rusted hulk of a Holden Commodore or Ford Falcon sitting beside it. I love how "BBQ" and "Gas" run into each other and make me think of a special grade of gasoline with hot sauce in it. Great shot!
