Description
I have stood the test of time
Weathered the years
Of indecision and confusion
Raised my kids
Unleashed them into the world
And the world is a better place with them
I have worked
Until my back is sore
And my heart is weak
I have had dreams
And visions
I have learned I can see more
When I close my eyes and listen
I have thrown stones
Into the great sea
And listened to the ripples
To come back to me
I am no longer afraid
Of life or death
And I can finally rest
