Description
Hesperornis regalis is a genus of flightless aquatic birds that lived 83.5-78 million years ago (Late Cretaceous period). Famous locations for Hesperornis fossils are the Late Cretaceous marine limestones from Kansas and the marine shales from Canada.It was a large bird, reaching up to 1.5 meters (5 feet) in length.

Excellent prehistoric scene, these birds had mouths full of teeth I think. There was also a seagull type bird at this time, I believe.
