Description
California poppies on the shore of Clear Lake, along with a charming visitor! I think this might be the only bug in my gallery. I was just snapping pretty flowers, and when I looked at my pics this morning, there he was! He was cute, and had a great sense of composition, so I let him stay.

And why shouldnt you do that? He is both cute and adds to the whole beautiful shot.
beautiful sunshiny creation
Beautiful and bright capture bug and all!!
Great shot of some great flowers, I've noticed that bugs often show up on pictures even when you didn't see them when you took the picture.
I agree, the bug does really belong there. It adds that something special to the image.Great work.
Beautiful shot. I love the yellow colors.
So beautiful! I just love the bright color in these flowers and you did a super job of showing us just how pretty they are. And your little bug friend is an added bonus.
Great shot! :)
It wouldn't be the same without Him Ha Ha! Great photo.
WOW!! It is indeed beautiful. A wonderful shot.
A beauty of a bug and it goes so well with those living sushines.
Excellent capture
A wonderful capture of these happy flowers and what a bonus to get a bug.
Love the sunshine you have given to us. :)))) Excellent capture. :)))) Thank you for sharing the beauty you see. :)))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))
Alright, you are going to tell me now - to get out more often - because this is the very first time, that I have ever seen yellow poppies, only ever reds ! (you almost want to squish them and butter your toast with them ;-)) and what a joy they are to drool over with a little bonus - just perfect. BB
I like it, I like it:)
oh, I bet you smiled with your eyes to match wonderful colors warm hugs, Linda Kaye
Sunny & warm!!!!
My California poppies have only just begun to sprout green, it will be a while before there are buds and blooms! This is gorgeous!
Really stunning Tara! Brilliant colours, outstanding capture, well done.. Rob.
Okay, you're probably not going to be surprised but the little spotted beetle is the first thing that I noticed once I saw more than the thumbnail. I love these little guys. The little visitor is perfectly positioned to show off those spots and that wonderful insectoid figure! This is marvelous, and what's funny about these beetles is that later in the year the green fades to a more seasonable color! Nature is so wonderful! You have created a marvel here too! I love it! Feel free to photograph more insects. You're so good at it!
Spectacular poppies! Gorgeous color and the little visitor is the perfect complement. Have you introduced it to Andrea's fly?
lovely color...the bug is a bonus
...And his outfit compliments the flower, too! The little guy (gal?) obviously has great fashion sense! Must be one of Chip's little friends! Delightful shot, Tara!
Love the California poppies, bugs an accessory.
Little visitor on a perfect colourful flower. Amazing to see these bright colours together.
