Here we have Ealandora Hareth at yet another secluded forest pond, taking a meditative moment to the sounds of the birds and the waterfall, and enjoying the rich flowery fragrances.
Her pet and means of transportation in the forest, the crilliwyn "Rana", senses nothing, really. He seizes the moment for a nap or two... Related: Ealandora Portrait

About the waterfall: It's basically terrain work, the whole pond, the fall and the stream is one big "water terrain" with different materials painted on in the terrain editor. But the foggy splash effects are postworked (Photoshop). Could be done with metablobs/metaclouds, easier and quicker to paint it :)

I really, really like that scene!
the scene is just amazing. how did you manage the waterfall? it looks just perfect, and not at all overdone. the light is just great. for me, the only weak points are the skin material, the beast's material (is that supposed to be short hair?), and the bent (rather than draped and folded) dress. i love the pose of the riding beast, and how the ear shadows its eye. it looks like there's a bird (or other creature?) flying over the falls, which is a perfect touch. i'd actually love to see the scene without the elf and her ride. it's a wonderfully peaceful and realistic scene.
