Description
We are all but dust in the wind. Civilizations come and go. Empires fall and are forgotten. Two hundred years after the fall of the Roman Empire no one even knew it existed. It was considered a myth and had to be rediscovered (this is true). Time erases everything.
This is what I call an accident image. I was experimenting on a landscape when I discovered a section that looked like a fallen temple. I only added five pieces to this image. Two stairs, the arch section, the column and the monolith. The rest is just the terrain model.

Nice intermix of terrain and old remains bob
This is amazing and incredibly haunting. Just the kind of thing to get my own creative juices flowing! I love the terrain in general, your wonderful ancient and collapsed additions, and the wonderful details. The color sense is spot-on perfect and deliciously rich. This is quite a wonderful and evocative piece of work. Top drawer stuff.
Epic landscape/ruins and a wonderful moody atmosphere!

Most incredible Work....Excellent Landscaping/Scene!...
Fantastic image! Excellent work!
Nice accident and true words. Entire civilizations forgotten in a couple of generations. Only today even with the information superhighway at our fingertips information is lost in a moment with an avalanche of more information, misinformation, and disinformation. And if we all just get a little better at our digital worlds the people of the future might have a hard time determining if OUR worlds were photographs or vue, daz and poser constructs. Think of the dust we are throwing in the eyes of future archeologists!
An inspired piece. Well done. Great terrain work
Nice atmosphere and mood
