Description
After a great lunch at a restaurant high up in the old copper mining town of Jerome, Arizona we poked around in an old truck "boneyard".
This ancient homemade motorhome was sitting forelornly among all sorts of other long ago abandoned trucks and machinery once used in the mining operation.
The chassis is from a Peterbuilt truck (vintage 1950s?), the back appears to be from an old school bus and the top siding is wood with a tin roof.
Bet you could buy this cheap!
Bill:)

Wonderful shot Bill, no one is going to steal it that's for sure!! I love the shingle tiles too.
What fun this is..I wonder about the original owner.
What a classic Bill. From what I have seen, Peterbuilt make some amazing vehicles.
Hehe..... what a strange sight. Great capture.
Wow, someone put a lot of work into this--great find!!

amusant!
Very nice find fantastic capture !!
it would almost be worth renovating it
Great find. Looks like it served well for whoever built it. The tin roof kept the rain out. Thank for sharing.
I hope you are more comfy in yours :o)
Sweet capture Unique shot
LOL, I see things like this around still sometimes...great find!
Food for thought Bill, when you get home and the RV's parked up ? Great find, it even appears to have an old stove pipe chimney, bet this could tell some tales...
MMM an interesting doer upper for you in your spare time Bill.. LOL.
What a find this trip is turning up gold!!
Clever, these Americans. Excellent POV and colors in this pic, Bill. Gotta be careful mosing around those sharp and rusty junkyards, though.
Oh wow I'd LOVE to poke around this place. I saw Taras post tonight, loved that truck as well...totally COOL Bill!!
Heck, Bill, I thought this WAS your motorhome! LOL! That is really just too cool! It would almost be worth buying this and fixing it up, just to see the looks on peoples' faces when you drive it down the street! Great find, and a great shot! :-D
This looks to have seen better days but whoever made it probably had lots of fun in it. A lovely clear capture.
wonderful capture
Increible captura. Well done
the Beverly Hillbillies would be proud to call it home.very cool subject
better than nothing;) superb capture and lovely place to stay...
I give whoever put that together credit for creating such a unique means of transportation, and it looks like they got some use out of it at the time.
Nice! Love the light and all the detailing of the weathered front end of this strange creature. Looks like a Peterbuilt all right. I'm thinking mid 50's to early 60's 281/351 like the one in "Duel". Looks like the grille and shroud are missing and we;re seeing the radiator. Cool shot and a great find!
I can see a troupe of hippies cruising the West in this beastie.
