Description
I shot this bird when it was just standing there. Then as I started the truck up it took off and I grasp my camera and took many shots. i was happy they came out sharp but the bird was almost off the shots I took. I like this one the best as he was landing to get into the hunting pose again.
Those is cypress trees in the back ground .
I did crop the image but thought some of the trees needed to be there to show the wildness of this place. of course I in my truck on a grave road. lake martin is run by the oil company's.

it hard to pan from a window of a truck and you have to put the braces on at the same time.
love the diff shades of colors on this bird
nice image:)
Great capture, Jock! I like the way it is cropped as well
the wing was off the shot; was not crop. I did not pan that fast.

Tough to do but you did a stellar job in capturing the heron, or whatever bird it is, Jock. Really like the high contrast in this shot.
